Atelier
The workshop SUGA & VAN KOLLENBURG
in Bremen was opened early in 2011.
It is centrally located close to Bremen’s major theatre „Theater am Goetheplatz“.
Osamu Suga attended Tokyo violin making school, graduated under master (luthier) Soroku Murata and also taught there before coming to Bremen. He was employed at Machold in Bremen since 1991 and was head of the workshop since 1998.
Adrianus van Kollenburg was born in the Netherlands and attended the violin making school in Newark on Trent, England.
After graduating with distinction, he worked for one year under master Přemysl Otakar Špidlen in his shop in Prague, after which he joined Machold in Bremen in 1994.
